New Job!!!

Finally got a new job, actually a couple of jobs. But these pics are just from one of the jobs. I work for Vector Marketing, selling Cutco knives!!! They are actually quite amazing! I didn't think they would really be that much different than any other knives, so I when I got my sample kit...of course I had to go home and try them out! I LOVE MY CUTCO KNIVES!!! I'm not just saying this because I work for them, but they really are great! I mean I have had some sharp knives before, but like I say in my presentation, "The Double D Edge works better and stays sharp longer than any other knife!" It's true!!! It doesn't smoosh my fresh, warm bread, nor does it smash my ripe tomatoes, it just cuts right through!!!

Anyways, so what I do is set up presentations with people I know, do a presentation in their home with them, showing them how the knives work and how they differ from other kitchen cutlery, I cut up some food...I'll even make breakfast, lunch, or dinner for you showing you how the knives cut up everything and you use a different knife for different kinds and sizes of foods, obviously!!!! Then at the end of the presentation I have to get referrals from them so that I can see other people because I can't call people unless I have been personally recommended to them and they have to have given you permission to give me permission to give them a call.

So yeah, not a very easy job when you live in a city you have never even been to and the people you do get acquainted with are all from church so you just get recommended to the same people over and over again!!! So that's why I got another job!!!! But I'll stay with this one just in case somebody wants to buy!!! hehehehe

HAPPY MOM'S DAY!!!

HAPPY MOM'S DAY!!!!

Brandon and I just wanted to let our Moms know how much we love and appreciate them! They decided to keep us, even after our teenage years lol!!! We are so thankful for all they have done for us! For being a great example to us; their strong testimonies, great faith, their example in how the power of prayer is really there for us, etc. Not only did they teach us the gospel well, but they taught us real life too; warned us of what was out there and what was to come. It's a little different relationship mother to son. But as my mommy-daughter relationship, she taught me well, shared experiences with me so that I would hopefully learn from them one way or another, and more than half the time I was so stubborn and had to learn the hard way. But we really do love you and appreciate you!!!

Mom, I love you so much! Thank you so much for everything! You are the absolute best Mom in the entire world and the funniest person I will ever know!

Deanne, I love you! Thank you so much for everything you have ever done, especially raising your son to be the best man in the world! You are the best mom-in-law a girl could ever ask for!

Nancee, I love you too! You are absolutely amazing! I am so thankful for all that you have done for me, I appreciate it more than you will ever know!

Brandon works...Michelle holds a cardboard sign!!!

Brandon works 6 days a week while I hold a cardboard sign...MEANING I AM A BUM!!!! I look for jobs constantly but other than that I cook, bake, and do all of my crafts! I did finally find a job so we will see how that goes, I train this weekend...I'm officially working for Vector, selling Cutco Cutlery!!!! I am so excited to do my little presentations! I know...you can call my knife geek, but I won't mind! I will post more about it later!

For now, I'm just going to update you on what's been going on!

This first picture is a picture of the boys...they don't miss a beat, they went right back to old times, getting cozy together! How cute are they!?!

This next one is a random recipe I found online...COOKIE DOUGH BROWNIES! Who would have thought?!?! So you make your favorite brownies, whatever recipe you like best, I use my Aunt Lin's recipe (IT"S THE BEST)!!!! Then make a simple cookie dough, then a chocolate sauce.
COOKIE DOUGH
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
2tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour
GLAZE
1 cup semi-sweet choc chips
1tbsp canola oil
melt together in micorwave
Make brownies, cool brownies commpletely. Then spread the cookie dough on top of the cooled brownies, then spread the warmed chocolate sauce covering the cookie dough. Place in freezer until frozen, tastes much better as a bar then as a gooey thing that falls apart! Enjoy!

If you haven't seen my previous posts, you must look at the snow in Denver...we thought that the snow would be long gone by the time we got here, but we experienced a nice little blizzard already and then it decided to snow again :( Here are just a couple pics below to prove that I wasn't making it up!!!!
This is the night it started snowing late in the evening....

This is the very next morning...I don't know if you can tell, but we had about 6inches!!!

There is more to come...I made some jalapeno poppers...that will be the next post!!!

The Result of Brandon's Unibrow

So, last night I went to go plug in the wax warmer so that I could wax Brandon's unibrow...however, the box was sealed shut...dun dun dun...after struggling for a minute we finally got it open and realized that the wax spilled all over the entire box (result of moving and not sealing the wax container lol), the warmer, the lotions, etc. It was piled on the bottom of the box and caked up on the warmer like you would not believe!!! I didn't think to take pics of it at first because I just thought I would throw it away, but my husband corrected me and said that we were going to clean it no matter what, we are not buying another waxing kit anytime soon. Therfore I had to clean it. I tried to clean up some of it last night but I finally realized it was going to be a big process and that I'd wait for the morning. So I waited for the morning!!! After Brandon left for work this morning, I decided I would try to accomplish this task. Knowing that this would be a long process, I decided to put a movie in to watch to keep me somewhat entertained... then I got out the fingernail polish remover, cottonballs, and wax paper then away I went. The movie was over and I had already gone through a half bag of cottonballs and a whole bottle of polish remover.

Decided to take a break ( AFTER 3 HOURS of trying to accomplish this task)...went to the store, grabbed more fingernail polish remover(just in case), bottle of pure acetone (figured it would probably work a lot better being 100% acetone), more cottonballs and LOTION! After having acetone on your hands all day, you are bound to need lots of lotion!

Back to our place I went...Kandis called me on my way home and offered to come and assisst me. I don't know if she thought it would be fun or what, but if I were her, I probably would have run the other way. However, Kandis is a lot more considerate than I am and was at my door before I was. She must have been excited! It only took us an hour to finish it. It's all about the team work!!! So below are just a few pics, Kandis and I probably had more fun with it than our pictures show, but it was definitely a once in a lifetime experience. I encourage everybody to try this the first opportunity they get!

This first picture you see was right after I had cleaned up the wax that I "purposely " poured down the drain. I was so focused on cleaning up the wax that I didn't pay attention to the fact that I had the wax container in the sink when I went to wash my hands. Therefore, water got mixed in with the wax...earlier I had done the same thing, but the wax was cold then...this time I forgot that I had warmed up the wax to make it thinner so it would be easier to clean...Resulting in was all over the sink and down the drain OOPS.

I didn't think to take pictures until we were 3/4 of the way done...I apologize, so let me try to explain to you what it looked like. The pink wax you see was caked on this entire wax warmer, about an inch thick. Try to clean up that much wax, we had to take it apart to be able to get all of the wax that drained inside out of there for it to work properly...I think smart people would have bought a new one, so obviously I am not the smartest lol, I just want to save money!!!!

The finished product! Looks better than new!!! We are professionals, we think we should go on the Martha Stewart show to share nationwide, the secrets of cleaning up your waxing kits. I'm sure everybody would appreciate these helpful hints. So I am officially copywriting this page so that nobody can steal our ideas lol
Now you know why this is called the result of Brandon's unibrow...because if he didn't need his unibrow waxed, then I wouldn't have had to get the waxing kit out, therefore I wouldn't have known that this wax and spilt everywhere....However, if I were getting it out for my use, I probably would have called it "The Results of Michelle's hairy legs" hehe jk

Denver Temple

First time to the Denver Temple! It was so nice to be able to attend the temple again! It was so spiritual! I enjoyed it very much...prayer is never-ending, you must say your prayers throughout the entire day, every day, it's the only way to strengthen our relationship with our Heavenly Father! Not only do we need to pray, but we need to pray with faith!!! I am so grateful for always being able to have a temple so close to us, no matter where we have lived, it's always been so close and yes, sometimes we take advantage of that, but you quickly learn how great it is to have the temple near to us no matter where we are, even when on vaca! I think that's the best time to go to the temple...what better way to celebrate time with your family then at the temple then on vacation when everybody gets together!!!

The crew at the Denver Colorado Temple for the first time!

They think they're missionaries again (notice their Elder's tags) SHHH don't tell em'

Last Week in Oregon...

Brandon's 23rd birthday! He got to celebrate twice! Once at home with all of our families where I got to make my first ice cream cake! It was absolutely deliciuos!!! Shaped as a heart too hehe!!! This is also where he got his tractors lol He was watching youtube videos and wanted these tractors to build his own little town like he saw others do online lol. So his wish came true hehe!!!! Then he got to celebrate again at the dunes that weekend!!!! That's what he does every birthday because it always falls on or around April General Conference...lucky him!!!

Went the entire dune trip and though that we'd be fine...of course we jinxed ourselves...after airing up getting ready to leave, the last of the trucks gets stuck...it took the two front trucks to get the thrid truck and trailer out of there!!! It was a fun conference dune trip though!!!

The Bopsie Twins! We bought the same shirts !!! They are cute, we know!!!! Got pedicures and went out to one last dinner with all of our families!!!

Another Heading!!!!

Just to let you know! I made this heading! My second one so far! I feel pretty good about myself right now hehe If you read my previous blog about the other header I made, then you know why, if not, then you better go back and research on my blog!!! It's quite fun. I'll tell you again how to do it...scrapblog.com Create new, blank page, then upload pics, pick out stamps, frames, etc. Then save and publish it. Then go to file...export it to save it to your computer, then go to your layout on blog and just upload it into where you would normally put a header picture. That's it!!! Simple! Have fun, let me know when you make your own so I can take a peek!!!

April Showers bring May Flowers?!?!?!

First day in Colorado...cloudy :(
We were told that we probably wouldn't have another cloudy day the entire month. The second day...cloudy...apparently we brought the bad weather with us. We only had a couple days that were decent....it was cloudy, sunny, cloudy, freezing cold, then a SNOW STORM!!!!

A few pics to show the beginning and middle of the snow storm...sorry I didn't take the ending pics of the storm

I didn't want to sit at home all day, so I made everone go play badminton at the tennis courts in the snow! Only one downside to that...we thought the snow would be long gone, so we left our snow clothes at home, so we wore jeans and sweatshirts! It is one thing that I highly recommend doing at least once in a lifetime!
My cheer when my team would score a point! hehe

Ice would pile up on the bottom of your shoes, it was almost liek you were wearing high heels when you walked!
The team players of the new sport...SNOW BADMINTON!!!!
